RESULTS SNOWDON INTERNATIONAL MOUNTAIN RACEThe Snowdon International Mountain Race took place on 24th July 2010. The race was well attended by Commonwealth Championship Athletes from Keswick. Its a 5mile Up- and Down- race to the summit of the highest mountain in England/Wales. Wilson Chemweno (KEN), winner of both the Up-only and Up and Down event at the first Commonwealth Championship finished 7th in the event. According to Alan Barlow, " Wilson had a good lead at summit but lost a lot of ground on descent. The two Scottish winners are both juniors and it remains to be seen what effect this notoriously tough event will have on their 2010 programme. The weather was unusually wet and windy." The record for this race is held by Kenny Stewart with a time of 1.02.29 (39:757 Up- and 22:32 Down-), he set in 1985.
