“Initially the opportunity to represent England and compete at an international level with a chance of winning commonwealth medals was the sole reason for taking part in the Commonwealth Championships. 

When arriving in Keswick, however, it was clear the Championships were going to mean so much more.  There was a constant buzz in the air and atmosphere of excitement as there was always something happening.  It was great to meet athletes from other disciplines and watch them compete, and also have them support us in our events. 

The support from everyone during my race was fantastic and was made even more special by the picturesque setting of Keswick and its surrounding countryside.  The Championships worked extremely well and proved to be a perfect showcase for some very different running disciplines.”
