Nadeem Khan (NK): What were your thoughts on running in the Commonwealth Championships? Scott McTaggart (SM): The Championships are a great addition to the International Mountain running calender. I appreciated getting the opportunity to compete in another international mountain running event. Living in Australia we only compete once a year in international competition.
NK: How was this race different from your other international races? SM: Competing for your country in a truly scenic location.
NK: The one thing that you will remember about these Championships… SM: The location and the village of Keswick was both scenic and friendly. The course were spectacular and the organisation was excellent.
Get to know Scott…
NK: Most memorable athletic moment… SM: Winning the Australian Under 20 Cross Country Championships in 1996. It was at this point I realised I had made the grade into elite level of athletics.

NK: If you were not a runner, you would be… SM: An elite cyclist.
NK: Who is your first call after a major race? SM: My wife Ruth
NK: If you could train with a marathon celebrity, who would you pick? SM: Haile Gebreselassie |
